Sick Day

I've been almost sick many times this winter, but managed to fight it off somehow, until today that is. I've spent most of the day on the couch, and I think I may be headed back there after writing this. I hate how having a cold puts you in a surreal haze where everything seems a little wrong. So I guess it's appropriate that I show you this absolutely trippin' video today. It's the video for Day 'n' Nite by Kid Cudi. Have you heard this yet? I've heard this song many times now, and hated it, but CANNOT get it out of my head. Then I watched the vid, which is pretty awesome, with lots of super colourful trippy animation, and I am starting to like it. Check it out!

I bought a pair of black boots with fringe going up the side last week and have now become obsessed. I don't know how, but that light tapping of the suede at my heels makes me feel so cool! I want more fringe in my life, and the good news is it is everywhere right now so I won't have a problem there. Next on my list is fringed sandals, but I will at least wait until there is no snow on the ground before attempting that one. I made another headband today. I can't stop.

Long Live The Romper

I was once told I looked like a jailed Charlize Theron in Monster while wearing my beige one piece pantsuit. But that ain't gonna stop me! I have loved the romper, jumpsuit, playsuit, whatever you want to call it for so long. And I am so excited to see lots of them making themselves known for spring. At this point, winter can suck it. It snowed again last night, after a warm sunny day that had my hopes up for maybe a day or two of more nice weather. NOPE! Anyways, my head is still hat covered most times, but I've got headbands on my mind again. This time I made one.

This is a sequined applique that I sewed to some elastic trim and fancied up with tulle and feathers. I think it looks pretty cute.
